Steve Weissman teaches Energy Law and directs the Energy Program at the Center for Law, Energy & the Environment at Berkeley Law. In addition, he is on the summer faculty at Vermont Law School and at the Lewis and Clark. He is also an environmental mediator. He is a former Administrative Law Judge and policy advisor at the California Public Utilities Commission, former Principal Consultant to the California State Assembly’s Committee on Natural Resources, and former Legal Director for the Local Government Commission, providing environmental and social policy assistance to local governments.
